Blog-frameworkAll learning experiences are planned to meet the goals and performance standards of the Connecticut Preschool Curriculum Framework. This document is the centerpiece of the curriculum as it provides standardized expectations for children across four domains of development. The CT Framework is a publication of the CT State Department of Education and is designed to articulate with the kindergarten through grade twelve curriculum frameworks that are in place in all public and approved private schools in Connecticut.

Assessment of child progress utilizes the CT Preschool Assessment Framework and includes 30 performance standards across four domains of development, which articulate with the public school kindergarten inventory. Observation and documentation is done daily in natural contexts and entered into child records. From this evidence, child and class profiles are created three times per year (November, March, and June) and coincide with parent conferences in November and March where they are shared. The June profile will be sent home.
